The toilet is in!

Just kidding! At least this gives you an idea of what it will look like when we do put the toilet in. Mrs. Forest is continuing to cruise with the tiling or at least cruise as much as she can with a 21 month old in her face.
I have been spending a good amount of time stripping the window and door trim and I'm just about done. I did finally get to use the sander we bought a few years ago. It seems to be a common theme around here, buy something, let it age for a few years and enjoy! Mrs. Forest and I are wine drinkers so it is kind of fitting, but would you believe, the wine is the one thing that doesn't get a chance to age!

The door trim below doesn't look that great in the photo but it's as smooth as a baby's a$$, I mean bottom, and should look great after it's painted.

Well, the kids finally feel asleep. Time to go create more content to post about.

More wall tiles!

We put down Freecycled playmats to protect the floor in preparation for Mrs. Forest to tile the rest of the walls. Of course, the saplings just think it's their new playroom and have that special knack for getting in the way.

We did put the sapling boys to work for a little bit and they had a great time pulling out the spacers from the previous tile. Hope DYFS isn't reading!

Mrs. Forest has been cruising through the wall tiles and it looks great!

Now, I really need to get it into gear and finish stripping the window and door trim and reinstall them so she can finish.
Stripping the paint has been more tedious than I had expected and with every layer of paint I strip I ask myself if it's worth doing since we're just going to paint over it again. I believe the answer will be "YES" but I'll let you know when I get there.

Okay, enough blogging - back to work!
